Coined is a budgeting app built for teens. This policy explains — in plain language — what information we collect, why, and the choices you have. The short version: your money data belongs to you, we never sell it, and we never connect to your bank.
We collect only what's needed to run the app:
Your information is used only to make Coined work for you:
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not build advertising profiles about you.
Your data is private to your account. Our database uses row-level security, which means every paycheck, expense, and goal you enter can only be read by you — not by other users.
Coined runs on a small number of service providers:
Coined is designed for teens, so we keep things simple: we collect the minimum needed to run the app, we never show you ads based on your personal data, and we never ask for bank passwords or connect to your bank accounts. Everything in the app is entered by you, by hand.
Coined provides general financial education, not personalized financial advice.
Your data stays in your account until you remove it. You can edit or delete individual expenses, paychecks, goals, and recurring items at any time inside the app. If you'd like your entire account and all associated data deleted, email us at the address below and we'll take care of it.
Connections to Coined are encrypted, and your data is protected by row-level security so only your account can access it. Because the app never connects to banks, we never store bank or card credentials.
If we change this policy, we'll update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continuing to use Coined after a change means you accept the updated policy.
